FACULTY OF ECONOMICS & BUSINESS UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB
University of Zagreb was founded in 1662, among the first of universities in Europe. The Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb was founded in 1920; hence, it represents the oldest institution of higher education in economics in this part of Europe as a part of the University of Zagreb. Today, the Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb is the leading and the largest institution of higher education for entrepreneurial education in the Region. The teaching staff is comprised of 250 members who are employed in study programs and various research projects. The Faculty performs undergraduate and graduate degree programs, as well as the postgraduate doctoral and specialist studies in the field of economics and business. |

EUROPEAN LAW INSTITUTE - BUSINESS AND FINANCIAL LAW SIG
The ELI Business and Financial Law SIG was established in mid-2015 and is currently chaired by Yuri Biondi, Andra Cotiga and Corrado Malberti. Topics of focus include codification and implementation of the EU company law directives. The SIG also focuses on gathering information to foster transparency and accountability on corporate groups and financial intermediaries in the era of new information technologies; the role of shareholders and shareholding in the European corporate governance debate, including long-term shareholder engagement; groups of companies and related responsibilities and liabilities; as well as cross-border mobility of companies, private international law and regulatory competition. |
EUROPEAN LAW INSTITUTE - CROATIAN HUB
The seventh regional Hub of ELI, chaired by Zoran Hačić, Emilia Mišćenić, Hrvoje Pauković and Ivan Tot, was launched on 26 September 2014, immediately following the Projects Conference and General Assembly in Zagreb. The Hub also has an Advisory Board. Its members are Edita Čulinović-Herc, Hana Horak, Tatjana Josipović and Zvonimir Slakoper. Upon joining ELI, one becomes a member of the Hub in their country of residence or seat, provided no objections are raised. |
ICC CROATIA
National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce in Croatia (ICC Croatia) was founded in 2003. ICC Croatia represents the interests of the Croatian business community at international level and before the Croatian governmental bodies concerning questions on international trade and transfer of global experiences into Croatia. The goals of the National Committee are: promoting international trade, services, and investments, alongside removing barriers to international trade; promoting market economy based on unhindered and fair competition; supporting global growth and export; representing the Croatian business community at international level; supporting the Croatian business community by drafting rules and developing global policies on international trade, supporting self-regulation of businesses; taking an active role in shaping policies on international trade; representing ICC views before state authorities. With its 140 representatives, renown experts in different business fields, ICC Croatia participates in the work of twelve expert commissions. Thereby, ICC Croatia helps the Croatian business community to develop its position on various business issues and the promotion thereof at international level. It also enables a transfer of global experiences on the Croatian business community. |
CROATIAN CHAMBER OF ECONOMY
The largest business network in Croatia, the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK/ CCE), connects key sectors of the national economy through a network of county chambers, communities, associations, international representative offices, and memberships in international chambers. It also promotes the interests of its members before government bodies. The Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK/CCE) focuses on several crucial areas of operation, such as lobbying and representation of members' interests, internationalisation, education and conferences, information sharing, EU projects, and economic development. Sustainable development, the digital and green transition, the future of work and human resource development, export potential and competitiveness, security of supply and food quality are HGK's (CCE's) key strategic topics. While the HGK (CCE) Act specifies crucial areas of operation independent of the current strategy, strategic themes are defined based on the current HGK (CCE) strategy for a specific period. HGK (CCE) offers a range of services to bolster local companies' capacities and improve the Croatian economy's competitiveness, all while putting its members at the forefront of its operations. |
